A funding round should not become the company’s full-time job

Finding the right investors and partners can genuinely become hard, resource and time consuming. Identifying credible targets, preparing compelling materials and managing a live process demands serious focus — at exactly the point when the company needs all its energy on growth. But without proper planning and management, rounds lose momentum, timelines slip and the final terms reflect it.

A verified funding and partner roadmap makes the process significantly more efficient — targets are prioritized, materials are built once and done right, and the process moves on a clear timeline.

Every euro not secured from non-dilutive sources is ownership given away permanently.

Our approach: synchronized, not standalone

We run your investor and partner search as part of a coordinated funding plan — not as a disconnected engagement. Public funding sits at the core as leverage. Equity, public debt and strategic partners plug in on the same roadmap, sequenced to maximize the outcome.

We identify the investors and partners that fit your stage, sector and investment thesis. We update the materials accordingly, make the introductions and coordinate the process through to closing.

We control the process, coordinate timelines across multiple parties, support term-sheet negotiations and assist with due diligence — so you stay focused on running the company.

Less dilution

Private investors and strategic partners can also unlock national and EU public funding — and the reverse is equally true. The strongest capital structures combine non-dilutive instruments (grants, public loans, R&D credits) with equity raised at the right stage and valuation. You fund more of the journey without giving away unnecessary ownership.

Better-quality conversations

You meet the investors who genuinely fit — not a broad spray of cold outreach. Targeted, prepared and credible from the first contact.

Speed and momentum

A managed process with clear milestones and coordinated deadlines close faster and preserve negotiating leverage. Rounds that drag lose both.

Focus on business

Coordinated process through to closing — Grants manages materials, due diligence, term sheet negotiations and closing documentation end-to-end, so the leadership team stays focused on running the company while the round moves forward.

Grants – Investor and Partner search

Grants acts as a partner that helps build a compelling investor case and position the company for investors and partners managing the process through to closing.

Grants helps companies

  • Identify the right investors and partners: VCs, growth funds, family offices, corporate VCs and strategic partners — as a result the company receives a full Funding & Partner Roadmap report which is useful also for other financiers and key stakeholders (e.g. Board).
  • Prepare a convincing material package: teaser, pitch deck, 5-year financials and necessary supporting documents.
  • Manage the process: contacting, intro meetings, maintaining momentum, coordinating due diligence and closing support.
  • Synchronize the equity round with public financing so that capital is raised at the right time, at the right valuation and in the right amount.

For our clients, this means a structured round where investors are selected on data, materials are built to investor standards and the process stays on schedule.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions

FAQ

When is it worth launching an investor round in relation to public funding?

As a rule, public funding should come first — it is non-dilutive and strengthens your valuation position before equity investors enter the picture. In practice, the sequencing depends on the company’s stage and what instruments are available. In the roadmap phase, we map these into a single coordinated plan so that equity is raised at the right moment and on the best possible terms.

Will you contact investors on our behalf or introduce us?

We handle teaser distribution and initial outreach, but investor meetings are always led by you and your team — investors back the people, not the advisor.

What if we want to target a single lead investor rather than run a broad process?

This is planned in the Roadmap phase. A focused process still benefits from parallel conversations — not to create a bidding war, but to build credibility and maintain negotiating leverage. Quality over quantity applies here as well.

How long does the whole process typically take?

A: Each process is different, but a typical timeline from kick-off to closing is 4–8 months:

  • Roadmap: 3–4 weeks
  • Materials: 2–3 weeks
  • Contacting, negotiations and closing: 4–6 months

The contacting phase varies most — investor availability, due diligence scope and negotiation complexity all affect the timeline.

How is the service priced?

The service is priced as a monthly retainer covering the full process — Roadmap, possible material updates and execution through to closing — plus a success fee agreed in advance as a percentage of the round.
