Significant funding to support growth investments
CTO Timo Ainali explains that the collaboration with Grants began when iLOQ was applying for Business Finland funding for future technology research and long-term innovation. Ainali notes that navigating the application process without a partner would have been laborious and time-consuming. With Grants, the process proceeded quickly and easily.
”It would have been difficult to start figuring out on our own how the application should be structured. We saved a lot of time and effort by bringing Grants on as our project partner.”
– Timo Ainali
In collaboration, iLOQ and Grants successfully applied for a million-euro R&D grant. The project was carried out together with Grants’ funding expert, Jaakko Ojanen. When applying for public funding, it is crucial that the application meets the funding provider’s requirements and criteria precisely. Ainali notes that Ojanen had expertise that was invaluable in ensuring these elements, helping them build a highly competitive, top-quality application.
”Jaakko’s expertise played a key role in developing the project plan – the end result was a high-quality submission that fully met Business Finland’s requirements.”
Who is Grants suitable for?
Ainali recommends Grants especially to companies for whom applying for public funding is new. Drafting applications and reporting require special expertise, and an external partner accelerates the process.
”I recommend Grants to companies that don’t have experience in applying for public funding. Grants helps you get off to a great start and helps clarify which funding to apply for and on what timeline.”
