Pakuovelle.com is a Finnish van rental service based on a self-service booking system. The company is part of the Cityvarasto Group, which is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki. In addition to Pakuovelle.com, the group includes companies such as Suomen opiskelijamuutot and Ja-Ki Muutto Oy.
The collaboration with Grants began a few months ago when the company had a development concept that required external funding. In the first phase of the partnership, Grants and Pakuovelle.com successfully secured a GenAI grant from Business Finland.
Navigating funding with experts
CEO Mikko Erkkilä admits that without Grants, Pakuovelle.com would not have pursued public funding in the first place. According to Erkkilä, working with a partner made it possible to pinpoint the exact funding instruments that fit their needs.
”Without Grants, we probably wouldn’t have applied for public funding. Grants’ experts identified the right funding instrument for our company’s current situation and successfully completed the first application after just a few Teams meetings.”

Minni Heinilä served as the dedicated Grants expert during the application process. Erkkilä praises Heinilä’s ability to quickly grasp a dynamic, forward-looking presentation of project needs and package it into a clear text that fit perfectly into the application format.
“I explained our concepts to Minni in a very fast-paced, high-energy style, and she captured the core ideas perfectly on the very first try. Minni captured our ambitious vision in such a well-structured format that it made our goals stand out even more clearly to me as I read through the text.”
Who is Grants for?
Erkkilä recommends Grants to growth-oriented companies that have clear development ideas ready for further refinement.
”We had a project we wanted to advance, and we needed that extra funding to confidently move forward with it. I highly recommend Grants to similar companies that have a clear development concept and the drive to grow their business.”
